Opening of the exhibition “Cuatro gatos ” (Four cats) features 50 original graphics by Pablo Picasso, Salvador Dalí, Joan Miró and Antonio Tapies and brings the spirit of Art moderna and Spain to Belgrade. The ehxibition takes place at New Moment gallery (14 Hilandarska str.) and lasts until the 10th of October. 

The exhibition presents the graphics as a medium of one of the most important artists of the modern era, a selection of works were made by collectors Lazar and Živa Vujic from Ljubljana, who are also the owners of graphics.

The exhibition presents works from the last period of Pablo Picasso, when art served as his daily board video recording of meditations with eternal beauty of the female body and eros. Francisco de Miguel Alvarez from the Embassy of Spain in Belgrade said that he was glad to see the graphic presented to Belgrade audience and art lovers.

Art theorist Miško Šuvaković said that this exhibition presents the greatest from the age of  the arte moderna. “There are female figures of Picasso, Dali scenes, Miro with his sexual unconsciousness and Tapijes that set picture, painting or graphic as a platform of continuing research,” said Šuvaković. The owner of “New moment” Lazar Sakan explained that the exhibition is named after the Barcelona’s famous café “Els 4 Gats” – Four cats -the Catalan slang for” a handful “, a well-known meeting place of creative potential who created modernism.
