Belgrade clubs host some very famous names from the music industry this weekend. Parties are happening all over the city. As almost every week, Still in Belgrade guides you to the best parties and finest crowds in town.
Let’s start with big Love District party at DEPO Magacin. The main star is no other than Joris Voorn. You can buy the ticket at the door for 12 euros. Local support: Secret Cinema (NL), Ivan Radojevic & Luka Vukovic and Mene.
There’s Timo Mass at the DOT club in 6 Francuska street. He will be supported by Vlada Janjic and Dusan Lazovic. For this party you can also by the ticket at the door for 12 euros.
Hear it, Feel it, Move it presents Rebekah at the boat Svemirska kafana on the river. The past few years has seen the rapid rise of Rebekah’s profile by showcasing her own style of modern techno, which has been accepted by her peers as well as techno fans around the world. This reflection of the studio work and passion fueled sets has lead to a busy schedule of gigs. Playing at established venues, parties and festivals such as Berghain, Tresor, Cocorico, Fabric, Awakenings, Tomorrowland, Studio 80 to name a few.
Ticket costs 5 euros at the door.
And of course if you are a techno purist don’t forget Belgrade’s techno cathedral Drugstore club in Palilula. Ernestas Sadau, together with Roman Sputnik is Digital Tsunami. They also appear together as Glark n Glark. What Ernestas promises is a cauldron of darkest possible chants mixed with heartbeats of the innocent. A strong recommendation for those who already burn. Digital Tsunami is a series of underground full moon only dance parties formerly based in London with the current home in Athens focused on raw and quality electronic dance music.
Their growth from a radio show to podcast series to full moon events was supported by many well known producers and DJs either as contributing with mixes or being headliners of Digital Tsunami parties. They have organized parties with: Svengalishghost (who has played at Drug§tore for NYE 2015), A Sagittariun, MGUN, Voiski (who has visited 20/44 twice), The Exaltics, Orgue Electronique (whose appearance at the old Drugstore is still one of our favourite bookings to many dancers) and many many more.
Tickets: 2 euros.
On Saturday you can also visit Drugstore. Power Source Music is bringing Xhin and Mary Velo. Tickets: 6 euros at the door. Get ready for sophisticated techno!
Big Vatra r’n’b’ and hip hop B Day bash is happening at Belexpocentar. Local collective will be supported by Araab Muzik. Tickets: 6 euros
