The very first Boiler Room party in this part of the world will be held in Belgrade within MAD in Belgrade music festival. It will take place on the 25th of May and will feature a few local DJ and producers. MAD is definitely something brand new on the club map of Belgrade. Boiler Room will do nice PR and bring more publicity for the city itself.
Let’s see what they say on Boiler Room.TV official website:
Serbia, we’re coming for you! Boiler Room is heading out for our first trip to the region to check on all that’s good and great within the fertile Serbian scene, all housed at MAD in Belgrade Festival, the foremost South Eastern European event exploring the fringes of boundary-pushing electronic music. This year’s inaugural MAD in Belgrade – taking place 24-25th May – offers up a broadly diverse roster that is truly a sight to behold: the likes of DJ Spinn, Evian Christ, Dixon, Tony Allen & Jimi Tenor, Lindstrøm, Dean Blunt and many more feature. Naturally, we’re honoured to bring you a day of live music streamed direct from the very first edition.
Instead of capturing the big guns, Boiler Room is choosing to play it closer to home. We’re picking a glut of fêted local talent to make up our showcase, but the broadcast pays testament to the wider global influence these DJs, producers and record label heads are beginning to have. Dejan Milićević, Schwabe & DJ Brka, Tijana T, Vlada Janjić, Marko Nastić plus live sets from both X-Coast and 33.10.3402 and a team-up between Feloneezy and Jackie Dagger will all feature. Between them, these Serbian jocks run the gamut from deep techno to footwork, vintage electro to slo-mo disco; they have displayed their wares at house/techno meccas such as Berlin’s Berghain/Panorama Bar, Paris’ Batofar and We Love…Space in Ibiza. It’s an exciting way to mark Boiler Room’s first foray into the Serbian scene, so catch us live from MAD in Belgrade on May 25th!
