Sample team invited Danish photographer to Belgrade last year when he photographed it’s inhabitants and the city itself.
On this Monday, visitors will be able too see the photos he took, Mads’ impresion of the city we live in. The exhibition includes more than 30 portraits and a hard-cover book, containing the pictures of the city.
Mads Teglers lives and works in Copenhagen. His works have a common approach to the theme, whether the images are fashion photographs, band pictures, or pure portraits. Stylistically he is close to the snapshot realism of fashion photography across the past 20 years.
Glamourous, classical fashion photography with anti-realistic presentation of the model. Models are shot in everyday urban circumstances, outdoors or in private homes. The pictorial aesthetic is reminiscent of family snapshots without any ornamental light or digital post-production. Teglers’ narrative is often intimate and personal.
Previous work: Lowdown, Oyster, Smug, Fallen, Nylon…
