Borusiade (ROU / Cómeme) at 20/44 on January 19th
Bipolar & F-Society presents:
Borusiade [ROU/ Cómeme]
Local support: Johana (Banda Panda) & Nevena jeremic
Born and raised in Bucharest, Romania and now residing in Berlin, Borusiade aka Miruna Boruzescu started dj-ing in 2002 as one of the only female DJs in the city’s emerging alternative clubbing scene. Influenced by a classical musical education and fascinated by raw electronic sounds Borusiade combined these elements in the construction of her DJ sets and starting 2005 also in her music production. Her sets combine bold and obscure sounds and fluid genres fluctuating in the field of Dark Disco, Minimal Wave, raw House with an Acid touch. The sound is gloomy and powerful, with beats that touch one’s deepest senses. After experimenting with different projects, Borusiade slowly crystallised a sound of her own, often dark, with poignant bass lines, obsessive themes and by all means melodic.
After her successful debut EP “Jeopardy” on Cómeme in 2016, “Feelings Of Entropy” came out the same year on Jennifer Cardini’s label Correspondant. 2017 Borusiade released a split EP on Veronica Vassica’s acclaimed label Cititrax, carving her way into a more industrial sound and proving the complexity of her production. Her discography counts tracks and remixes on labels like Dark Entries, Monika Enterprise, Relish and Romanian label P-Balans.
Elena Colombi b2b Interstellar Funk at Drugstore on January 26th
After a very successful
premiere at Drugstore a superbond was made with the Italian-born selector Elena
Colombi. The idea of her residency in Belgrade was whispered in Elena’s ear by
Drugstore’s mascott, Nudi the cuihuahua Suzuki while Elena was brushing her
teeth and voilà here we go again.
LINE UP:Elena Colombi (NTS, London), Interstellar Funk (Rush Hour / Artificial Dance, Amsterdam)
For the first night of
her residency, Elena Colombi kicks things off with a visage familier:
Intestellar Funk! Since a very memorable back to back set at Amsterdam’s De
School the pair has shared the decks again at Left Alone party in London and at
Dekmantel Sao Paulo, leaving a mark with each and every set. If you witnessed
these two playing together before, you know you’re in for a treat. If you
haven’t stand in the liner or book that flight to Belgrade now! This will be a
night to remember.
