FEST-INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL 2019

On Friday, February 22nd, the 47th edition of the International Film Festival FEST has started. The Opening Ceremony was held at Sava Centre at 7 pm followed by the screening of a multi-award winning film by Yorgos Lanthimos, The Favorite.
In the next ten days, as many as 125 premieres will be shown in 13 halls in Belgrade, and the audience in Novi Sad and Budva will watch the FEST films as well. This year’s FEST arouses great interest of audience, and over 50 000 tickets have been sold so far! The tickets for the Opening Ceremony have been sold out, as well as for the Serbian premiere of the long-awaited film Stitches recently awarded in Berlin. The audience is also very interested in Hollywood hits such as The Wife, Cold War and Green Book in Sava Centre, as well as for Capernaum and Double Lives in Kombank Hall.

Monday 25th of February- Deli Monday-Persian Cuisine
Miad is inviting you to join him on Monday February 25th, to enjoy the tastes and smells of Persian cuisine at 7 o’clock pm at KC Grad in Brace Krsmanovica St. (Savamala)
This time, our cook Miad will be preparing Ash Reshteh, a delicious Iranian thick soup. Ash is made of noodles, onion, chickpeas, pinto beans, lentils and a lot of spices and fresh herbs (parsley, cilantro, mint, scallion). Ash is usually served with dairy product Kashk, piles of fried onion and a drizzle of mint. You can find this meal in all Iranian restaurants, it’s a very healthy and a rich vegetarian meal in itself.
Of course, with Ash, we will be serving famous Persian black tea.

“I’m Miad from Iran, currently living and studying in Belgrade. I’m a student of International politics but I’ve always been in love with cooking! My father is a cook in his own charity in Iran and I used to be his assistant in the kitchen so I was raised surrounded by Persian spices and flavors! Join me on this little journey through flavors of Persia!”
The cost of one meal is 200 RSD.
NICOLA CONTE at Strogi Centar
Italian Jazz musician and DJ Nicola Conte will play DJ set at the Strogi centar club on the 2nd of March. Tickets are sold out, but you can still try to get in! Music starts from 10 pm. Follow event here.
