The whole idea started back in 2008 when the very first concept store emerged in Southeastern Europe region in the space of the former supermarket from the Socialist era. Shortly afterwards this concept store became the place to be in the city. With its unique appearances, atmosphere, culinary delights and fashion Supermarket gained reputation in its own right amongst the locals and the visitors of Belgrade making its way onto the map of must visit places of Dorćol.
After the great success of the first Supermarket the business trend and ideas moved further. Soon after Supermarket Deli opened its door on Topličin Venac offering carefully selected wine and food from all over the globe. It followed with Supermarket in Porto Montenegro, Berlin and Talas on the right bank of Danube in Zemun historical neighborhood.
But since everything is subject to change when it comes to Supermarket, a brand new one opened its doors some time ago in Dorćol again, in the vicinity of Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra, Kinoteka , Square Nine Hotel and Belgrade Fortress in Uzun Mirkova St.
The new Supermarket looks similar, but different than the old one. It’s still NYC like place for shopping, getting ideas and drinking coffee, juice or a beer in a pleasant interior in the heart of the city within reach of city attractions. Unlike the old concept store this one seems to be more focused on local designers and brands and limited edition collections of Adidas, Scotch & Soda and the like. Here one can find bags, shoes, dress, accessories, T-shirts, gifts and other items. In a nutshell, there is everything for everybody.
Make sure you drop by because Supermarket is one of the successful local brands we are proud of having in Belgrade.
