WAXX TRAX 3RD BIRTHDAY PARTY with Route 8 will take place in Belgrade’s techno cathedral Drugstore on the 23rd of December from 11 pm. Three years ago, in this very place, the story of WAXX TRAX started with a bang. Now it’s that time of the year when we gather around to dance to the sounds, deliberately lingering and perching in between house and techno, shifting anywhere from acid to dub.
With a handful of critically acclaimed releases under his belt, ROUTE 8 has recently emerged onto the musical landscape of those who have their ears to the (under)ground of deep house and techno. Having been picked up on by the keen eared minds behind the UK’s Bokhari and Lobster Theremin label as well as the Greco-Germanic Nous imprint, this young producer (a member of his home city’s Farbwechsel collective) looks set to establish himself as a vital Central European talent to watch in the coming years with further releases being lined up for bespoke underground labels.
His work can be divided into a number of categories: Route 8 would be the Lo-fi analog vapor sound we all must have heard and loved in places here and there, mixed with elements of Chicago House but also reminiscent of Deep Detroit sound.
As Q3A he’s released his darker techno works on Delsin and Black Venison.
Yet another reason to party is the release of the 3rd album “Structure” of WAXX TRAX founder Bojan Musulin, known as Neutron. On this occasion he will perform fragments of his album set to release 20.12.2016. on WAXX TRAX, of course.
