Welcome to the 19th Free Zone – a socially engaged film festival that we desperately need in these times! The festival will take place from October 31 to November 5 in Belgrade, Novi Sad & Nis. The topics that the festival addresses are here to instill hope for a better tomorrow and to remind us of what we should fight for. That’s why we’ve selected a few films for you.

“Ruleless” – Fredrik Gertten A documentary about the possibilities of positive change in a corrupt society, inspired by the Dutch historian Rutger Bergman. His belief in the common good inspires us.

“Unforgettable Memories” – Maite Alberdi A look into the life and love of Augusto and Paulina, fighters for justice, despite Alzheimer’s disease. An inspiration for preserving one’s own identity.

“Radical” – Christopher Zalla Mexico, a school next to a landfill, and a teacher with a radical approach that unlocks the genius of his students. Based on a true story of transformation.
