Welcome to the neighborhood of Dorćol. Kralja Petra Ulica i.e. King Peter’s street is one of the oldest streets in the heart of Belgrade. The Roman Forum, basilica and thermae are thought to have been here in the I and II century A.D. in this area next to the present building of National Bank of Serbia, 12 Kralja Petra. In this street, back in the day in the 20 century, was the first official Belgrade pharmacy (in the place of the building of today at No. 8) and the first city hotel – “Kod Jelena” torn down in 1938. Today, this is one of the most famous streets in Belgrade. Connecting the lower town with main pedestrian street Knez Mihailova. It is home to numerous bars, restaurants and fashion shops, and some cultural institutions such as the Jewish Museum.
