The photo-series is made of analogue color prints from various negatives, mixed media installations with “germinated” photography which are printed on self made seed-paper of carefully selected autochthonous plants. The capture which surrounds an installation is inspired by feeling of invisible protective spirits of the places, Genius Loci (lat.), on The Great War Island, Danube river banks, hillocks and alley ways of Zemun. During the exhibition you will have the opportunity to buy limited photo-postcards in this unusual medium that can be framed or planted.

Milica Nikolic (1986) graduated on the Department for conservation and restoration (2010), at The Academy of Applied Arts in Belgrade, Serbia. She is the author of 7 solo exhibitions, as well as participating in many group exhibitions and projects in Serbia, Macedonia, UK, Germany, Austria, and Japan. She is a member of the Association of Serbian Artists and Designers of Serbia (ULUPUDUS). She have organized a few art exhibitions and cultural projects such as “Photo-Narratives”. Milica lives and works in Zemun as independent multimedia artist and photographer.
