Berlin’s iconic selector DJ Hell returns to Belgrade on April 10, taking over 20/44 with a rare set that blends four decades of influence, rebellion, and uncompromising sound.
A true legend of electronic music, DJ Hell is far from nostalgic. With a newly released album and a carefully curated global schedule, he continues to prove that his legacy—built since the late 1980s—was never accidental. From founding the cult label International Deejay Gigolo Records to shaping the electroclash movement in the early 2000s, his impact on club culture remains undeniable.
DJ Hell’s sound—where techno, electro, and dark disco collide—has always carried a certain resistance. Electroclash itself emerged as a reaction to the late ’90s dominance of superclubs and commercialized DJ culture. Its raw edges, DIY aesthetics, and punk attitude rejected polish and perfection, instead amplifying voices from the margins. Today, as club culture once again faces homogenization, that same spirit feels more relevant than ever.
This Belgrade stop is part of a highly selective spring tour, with only a handful of dates worldwide, including New York, Montreal, Madrid, and now Belgrade.
On April 10, expect more than just a DJ set. Expect a reminder of why certain sounds mattered—and still do.
Joining him is local support Kompleks, known for high-energy sets that bridge electro and techno, often reworking ex-Yu gems into contemporary dancefloor weapons.
