novi sad serbia

If you’re staying in Belgrade for a few days and are looking to discover another Serbian city without having to travel too far away, this tour might be ideal for you!

Novi Sad – easygoing and surrounded by fertile arable pastures, the Fruška Gora mountain and the Danube river, the charming capital city of Vojvodina is a gem amongst the Serbian cities to visit. Because of its cultural importance, it is also called „Serbian Athens“ and is home to southeast Europe’s largest music festival – EXIT, which seems to have gained a global reputation for its diversity and top-notch music. On this tour, we’ll be visiting the main attractions in the city centre and the underground tunnel complex of the Petrovaradin Fortress with the tales of its amazing history, before heading on to Sremski Karlovci.

Sremski Karlovci is a charming little wine destination in Serbia where we have the chance to taste the Bermet – the wine prepared with herbal remedies, which is the trademark of Karlovci. The quality of the wine here is so high that, back in the time of the Austrian Hungarian Empire, the Viennese Court released the wine growers of Karlovci from compulsory military service so that they could keep on producing wine. On this tour, we will visit Sremski Karlovci town center and the Museum of Wine and Honey, where we will taste the local wine and honey and enjoy our lunch.
