The Belgrade City Library, in collaboration with Sluš Audio and with the support of OTP Bank Serbia, has introduced a brand-new service: Storia Audiobooks. This innovative app gives all library members free and unlimited online access to hundreds of audiobooks in Serbian – anytime, anywhere. It is the first streaming platform of its kind in Serbia and the only one of its kind in the region.

The “Storia” app offers a wide variety of genres – from literary classics and contemporary works to thrillers, bestsellers, and children’s books. All titles are brought to life by professional actors, including Amar Selimović, Tihomir Stanić, Miki Manojlović, Andrej Šepetkovski, and many others, creating an immersive and emotional listening experience.

Getting started is simple: members of the Belgrade City Library only need to download the free Storia app on their smartphone or tablet (available on Google Play and App Store) and log in with the email address registered at the library. The full audiobook collection is then instantly available.

More than just convenience, this service brings inclusivity. It is particularly valuable for the blind and visually impaired, as well as for people with limited mobility, who often face barriers in accessing books. New titles are added daily, ensuring a constantly growing collection.

The Storia app also features user-friendly tools tailored to modern lifestyles, including adjustable playback speed, bookmarking of favorite passages, a sleep timer that automatically pauses the book, and quick 15-second skips forward or backward – even with the phone locked.

Far from replacing printed books, “Storia Audiobooks” aims to enrich everyday life, making literature accessible in moments when traditional reading isn’t possible. Thanks to this collaboration, Belgrade City Library members can enjoy the service completely free of charge until August 2026.
