European Water Polo Championship 2026
Belgrade Arena January 10–25, 2026
Belgrade hosts one of the most prestigious sporting events in Europe as the European Water Polo Championship returns to Serbia. From January 10 to 25, the iconic Belgrade Arena transforms into a spectacular indoor water-polo venue.
Sixteen national teams will compete for the continental title: Serbia, Spain, Croatia, Hungary, Italy, Greece, Montenegro, France, the Netherlands, Slovakia, Georgia, Romania, Slovenia, Turkey, Malta, and Israel.
The defending champion is Spain, crowned at the previous championship in Croatia.
With packed stands, fierce rivalries, and Belgrade’s legendary sports atmosphere, this event is a must-see even for non-sports fans.

Salon of the Museum of Contemporary Art

This thoughtful exhibition brings together works by Irena Lagator Pejović and Jelena Micić, offering a layered overview of their long-term artistic research and recent productions.
Hosted at the Museum of Contemporary Art Belgrade, the exhibition explores how materiality, capitalism, and the Anthropocene shape urban, social, and cultural landscapes.
Their practices intersect through questions of extraction, value, and the invisible infrastructures that define contemporary life.

Identities Beyond Borders
Works from the Italian Farnesina Collection

📍 DOTS Gallery, Belgrade
“Identities Beyond Borders” arrives in Belgrade as an expanded international exhibition project promoted by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, celebrating 25 years of the Farnesina Collection.
Curated by Benedetta Carpi De Resmini, the exhibition features works by major Italian artists, including Mario Merz, Carla Accardi, Letizia Battaglia, Marinella Senatore, Maria Lai, Rä di Martino, and others.
Belgrade is the first city to host this expanded version, developed in collaboration with DOTS Gallery.
The exhibition unfolds through three thematic sections:
- Roots of Resistance
- Unstable Ecologies
- Geographies of Alienation
The opening work, Merz’s Fibonacci, sets the tone for a powerful reflection on identity, ecology, borders, and collective memory in a fractured contemporary world.

Days of the Hermitage in Serbia
“Peter the Great and Serbia”

The international cultural project Days of the Hermitage continues in Belgrade with its central exhibition “Peter the Great and Serbia”, hosted at the Russian House Belgrade.
Organized by the State Hermitage Museum and Gazprom Neft, the program includes:
- Historical exhibitions (including The Serbian Portrait of Peter the Great)
- Concerts and lectures
- Film screenings and workshops
The project explores deep historical and cultural connections between Serbia and Russia, positioning Belgrade as a key stop in this international dialogue.

Hunee – Special 5-Hour DJ Set

February belongs to the dance floor as Hunee brings a five-hour journey set to Belgrade, joined by Nevena Jeremić.
Known as a “journey DJ,” Hunee weaves together disco, house, soul, afro, Detroit techno, and rare global grooves into long-form narratives that reward deep listening and full-night commitment.
