The beginning of October is reserved for REACT! This year Music Reactions is celebrating its first birthday and it’s going to be very special! On the 7th of October at 11 pm React is bringing several cutting-edge techno DJs and producers: Ambivalent, I hate models, and Clara Cuve.
Ambivalent (Valence) – American DJ/producer living and working in Berlin. His real name is Kevin McHugh and he’s only producer in the world who haid his tracks published on all five of most eminent techno labels of today, which are run by Sven Väth (Cocoon Recordings), Josh Wink (Ovum Recordings),Richie Hawtin (MINUS), Michael Mayer (Kompakt Records) and Adam Beyer(Drumcode) He also released tracks on mobilee records and on his own labels DELFT and VALENCE. In the past 9 years he established himself as a credible, reliable voice on underground dancefloors around the world. His DJ sets in which he plays techno going from contemporary, minimal, hypnotic sound and all the way to detroit old school tracks have recently taken him to some of the best clubs and festivals in the world, including Berghain, Detroit Movement, Concréte, Output, Village Underground, BPM Festival, Amsterdam Open Air, and many more.
I Hate Models (ＡＲＴＳ) – at this moment definitely the most exciting techno DJ/producer coming from France. In the past two years he’s proving himself as one of the most eminent producers on ＡＲＴＳ records label. He tries to not limit himself to a specific genre, exploring all electronic universes, with an artistic line based on the expression of melancholia and intense emotions, his music can be characterized by a showdown between – Love and Hate, Darkness and Light.
Clara Cuvé (Voxnox Records) – extremely talented DJ/producer resident of Berlin, born in Munich. Clara’s talent didn’t went unnoticed in her home town where legendary DJ Hell supported her at the beginning of her career. From then and there she’s developing her style, collecting records and playing a mix between dark techno and emotional harmonies.
RAR (Music Reactions) – one of the founders of Music Reactions organization. His name is Rajko Ristanovic and he started collecting records back in ’99 when he also started DJing and making music. At the beginning of 2000’s, during the “second techno wave” in Belgrade, he was a part of the Poems Music organization (alongside two friends – Miloš Drobnjaković and 33.10.3402) when they generated a lot of attention performing and organizing underground techno parties in Belgrade clubs. He’s against “framing” music historically and by genre. In his sets, you can hear tracks in range from techno-detroit classics full of harmonies and broken beats, to contemporary minimal techno.
