Americana Night at Dom Omladine

Americana Night is a festival that brought together four local band whose musical expression goes within the sphere of indie rock and American folk – Stray Dogg, Wooden ambulance, On Tour and Ana Ćurčin. It will take place on the 24th of May at Dom Omladine Beograd. The bands will perform in the form of back-to-back and will give a unique experience to all lovers of Americana. Scene will be occupied by two bands in every minute of the night, that will alternately play their songs and communicate with the audience. Visitors will have the opportunity to participate in a very different form of interactive concert performance and a completely uncharacteristic way of enjoying the good vibrations of the music.

Americana fest is a significant event because it offers something brand new to the music scene of Belgrade. The gathering of these bands is important for the formalization of this music genre in our country, which are created by very good musicians, talented and interesting people. I think it’s a great initiative gathering these bands, which through their music convey wonderful emotion, also that there are not some bands that we listen to on YouTube in our home, but local bands, although singing in English, create music in this region. I’ve enjoyed their concerts many times, and thanks to the organizers of Americana fest we got a chance to meet everyone in one place and try to fit the music we create independently of each other, says Anna Ćurčin, a young artist from Belgrade famous by very authentic, gentle and interesting vocal.
During the festival, the band Stray Dogg will during June and July visit ten cities in Serbia (Gornji Milanovac, Čačak, Kragujevac, Jagodina, Zaječar, Bor, Kikinda, Zrenjanin, Senta, Bečej). On this occasion, the local population will have the opportunity to hear a new musical genre based on melancholic Americana and positive vibes.
