Dimensions Festival Announces FULL Line-up in 2017

With the summer months moving closer, the full line-up for Dimensions Festival 2017 will cover all bases for any eclectic adventurer; from funk tinged live shows on The Beach Stage to heavy techno takeovers deep in The Moat. New names for this summer include Stones Throw’s master of grooveĀ Dam Funk,Ā who’llĀ be sure to get bodies moving and feeling funky, then there’s live, bass heavy electro in the form of Detroit duoĀ Aux 88.

Metalheadz bossmanĀ GoldieĀ holds it down for the DnB heads, in addition to playing a one off, exclusive techno set – not one to be missed. Iconic Chicago ghetto house king, Dance Mania’sĀ Parris MitchellĀ is set for his Dimensions debut;Ā expect pumping, top level energy in this anticipatedĀ set.

Modern Love’sĀ Andy StottĀ makes a welcome addition, along with soulfulĀ Detroit cuts from Ā Scott Grooves, plusĀ DMZ head honchoĀ MalaĀ joins. Ambient thai-influenced melodies come via Texan groupĀ Khruangbin, whose ambient, soul-soothing output hasĀ seen them playing across the globeĀ the past year. On-U sounds founderĀ Adrian SherwoodĀ and Hyperdub’sĀ Kode9Ā hold it down for theĀ darker and dubbier end of the spectrum, whilst enigmaticĀ man of house and techno mysteryĀ Maurice FultonĀ makes for another Dimensions Festival debut that should not be missed.

And there’s so much more; co-founder of Jealous God RecordingsĀ Silent ServantĀ adds a helping of deep, delvingĀ techno beats, whilst Guinness World record holderĀ Billy NastyĀ is set to steer the crowd with a vibing electro set set to shake the walls of Fort Punta Christo. Holding it down forĀ Berlin is HOMOPATIK resident and queer-scene rep,Ā Mr TiesĀ who’ll bring a bagful of joyful, genre spanning selections. Lady of the moment,Ā Manchester born Workshop affiliateĀ WillowĀ plays, alongside the delicate electronica ofTelefon Tel Aviv,Ā and left-leaning,Ā dubstep sounds of Tectonic’sĀ Pinch.

Drum and bass builds an integral part of Dimensions’ programming, with circuit royalty uniting across the Dimension Festival days. Metalheadz family memberĀ BaileyĀ joins, withĀ FixateĀ and theĀ Exit RecordsĀ crew spinning alongside the likes ofĀ Ant TC1, and sound system OGsĀ Mungos HifiĀ – holding down hosting duties are expert spittersĀ SP:MCĀ andĀ MC GQ. Keeping the notorious tight knit feel, festival favourites Rhythm SectionsĀ Bradley Zero, Lexis (MIMS), Butterside Up DJs, Dutch maestroĀ MasaloĀ andĀ GillaĀ  represent the Dimensions global family. Live shows come from Croatian talentsĀ ChuiĀ andĀ KozmodrumĀ as well as an eclectic mix of residents from across the world, withĀ Thea Hudson-Davies,Ā CSFN, City Fly, Inner U, plus stalwart Leeds imprintĀ Exodus, who bring another exclusive withĀ aĀ Muslimgauze setĀ as well asĀ rising classical x electronic breakoutĀ Prayer,Ā all making the pilgrimage to Pula this August.

Plus, there’s many moreĀ explorations to undertakeĀ across the Dimensions days, with a solid cast of names already announced, includingĀ Jeff Mills, Theo Parrish, MarcelĀ Dettmann, Floating Points, Cymande, Nina Kraviz, Helena Hauff, Nicky SianoĀ and over ninetyĀ more global heavy-hitters and fresh-faced acts. Opening the festival with a debut Croatian performance is Queen of the rhythmĀ Grace Jones, alongside Berlin super-groupĀ Moderat, and award winning drummer, composer and producerĀ Moses Boyd, presenting his Solo X show. All this will take place in the historicalĀ Pula Amphitheater;Ā aĀ 2000 year old amphitheatre in the heart of the city; a truly unforgettable experience.

Keeping a family feel, Dimensions Festival prides itself on its intimate capacity, welcoming atmosphere and world class custom built sound systems, which ensures a quality approach and experience year on year. The site itself is easily accessible from nearby Pula, which hosts plenty of hotels and apartments, on top of the onsite accommodation Ā – more info here:Ā www.dimensionsfestival.com/accommodation/.
