The new cinema hall at Ložionica will be one of the venues of the 53rd FEST this autumn, presenting 27 of the latest films from around the world from October 3 to 11, the organisers announced today.
Screenings at Ložionica will take place every day at 5:30 PM, 8:00 PM and 10:00 PM. The programme includes Sofia by Dhafer L’Abidine; Les Misérables by Fred Cavayé, starring Vincent Lindon, Tahar Rahim and Noémie Merlant; Le Cose Non Dette by Gabriele Muccino; El Sett by Marwan Hamed; Good People by Milcho Manchevski; and the regional film 17 by Kosara Mitić.
The programme also includes films previously presented at major international festivals, including Cannes, Berlinale, Sundance, Toronto, Tribeca, San Sebastián, Sarajevo and Shanghai.
From the Cannes Film Festival, Ložionica will screen Titanic Ocean by Konstantina Kotzamani and the French film Ulysse by Laetitia Masson.
The Berlinale selection includes Safe Exit by Mohamed Hamed, Staatsschutz by Faraz Shariat, A Prayer for the Dying, starring Johnny Flynn and John C. Reilly, as well as The Loneliest Man in Town.
The Sundance programme is represented by Ha-chan, Shake Your Booty! and Krata me by Mirsini Aristidou.
From the Tribeca Film Festival comes The Accompanist by Zach Woods, starring Susan Sarandon and Aubrey Plaza.
With the introduction of a film programme, Ložionica is expanding its cultural offer, adding cinema to its existing programme of concerts, theatre and dance performances, conferences and international events.
The multifunctional Pogon Hall, covering 619 square metres, is equipped with audiovisual and stage technology as well as telescopic seating. During FEST, the space will be used for cinema screenings.
The 53rd FEST will take place from October 2 to 11 at several venues across Belgrade. In addition to Ložionica, the festival programme will be held at Sava Centar, Dom omladine Beograda, the Cultural Centre of Belgrade, Tuckwood, Cineplexx Galerija, Cineplexx BEO Shopping Centre and CineStar at Ada Mall, according to the Ložionica announcement.
