International quartet performing at Parobrod for the first time: Milana Zarić (harp), Marina Džukljev (piano), Leonel Kaplan (trumpet and electronics), and Richard Beret (electronics) and is composed of leading names of the improvisational scene from Argentina, Great Britain, and Serbia.
The quartet will premiere this summer with two concerts in Novi Sad and Belgrade.
Collaborating for many years, the local duo Milana Zarić / Richard Barrett continues the practice of collaborating with other musicians, expanding their duo formation to a quartet, together with the guest from Argentina Leonel Kaplan, and the Novi Sad pianist Marina Džukljev.
All members of the quartet have an international reputation in the field of free improvisation, contemporary composition, numerous releases, as well as collaborations with leading names in the world contemporary music improvisation scene.
PICNIC ON THE 29th OF JULY @ KALEMEGDAN
The extraordinary edition of the Picnic will be held on Thursday, July 29, from 5 pm to 12 am on Kalemgdan, more precisely in the Lower Town on the plateau in front of the Planetarium. This time Picnic is a part of the manifestation of the Youth Biennale, the opening of which is scheduled for the same time in the Art Pavilion of Cvejta Zuzorić.
The Youth Biennale is an international exhibition of contemporary youth art that is presented to the Belgrade public for the first time this year and is organized under the auspices of ULUS at several locations in Belgrade (Cvijeta Zuzorić Art Pavilion, ULUS Gallery, Student City Cultural Center, Roman Well, Military Bunker , Big Gunpowder Warehouse (Barutana), Amam (Planetarium), Clock Tower, Nebojsa Tower, KC Footnote, KC Magacin and a number of public spaces in the city. Youth Biennale is organized by the Organizing Team of the Youth Biennale in cooperation with the Art Council of ULUS production of 40 new works by young artists.
Musical support for the Picnic are DJs Nevena Jeremić and Nikola Vemić, and with us, as always, there will be Kabinet Brewery, burgers Burger house, vegetarian specialties El Raval cuina, Bubamara ice cream, juices, and something else from Zaokret.
