After celebrating their 5th and most successful edition to date in the summer of 2015, Plisskën returns once again with another innovative, heavy-hitting, multi genre line-up showcasing a broad mixture of styles and quality. All this, set in Athens, a city that’s seeped in culture, both ancient and brand new. On Friday the 2nd and Saturday the 3d of December 2016, Winter Plisskën Festival will be hosting two consecutive nights, with four stages, over 40 international & local artists, set out in three different locations all packed one after another, creating a street festival atmosphere.

Exclusive live shows from legendary acts such as Death In Vegas and Tuxedomoon, rare live performances from electronic masters of the calibre of Prefuse 73, Zomby and Vatican Shadow, electrifying DJ sets from true dance pioneers of the statue of Ellen Allien and Optimo (Espacio) as well as the amalgam of the surf psych-pop of French heroes La Femme with the dark techno of Belgian stars Charlotte De Witte & Amelie Lens and the genius extremism of Dean Blunt’s Babyfather with the original grime force of D Double E amongst others are just some of the factors that make Plisskën Festival a host, a curator and a two day block party soundtrack director.

With a Pop Up Store running up to the days of the festival, a Food Court with the very best of flavours, a Cocktail Bar by Jokers and numerous other activities, Plisskën is not only committed to delivering great music but every year pushes the boundaries of multiculturalism as well as its environmental and social ethos. Believing in young people and wanting to offer something in return, The Lab, is an annual workshop organised by Plisskën, where participants get the chance to learn about all of the elements that comprise putting on a festival. Plisskën Festival has also been nominated for ‘Best Small & Best Indoor Festival’ by European Festival Awards for their third second consecutive year as well as the 2nd star for the Greener Festival Award.
