The first edition of Sonus festival on the island of Pag was completed more than successfully. Although it was off-season, in late August, Zrce, Papaya and Kalypso clubs and boat parties were very much crowded. More than 5,000 visitors from 36 countries and a large number of local visitors enjoyed the highest quality underground electronic music for 5 days and 4 nights.
Despite the storm that happened on Saturday night, and health problems due to which Luciano had to cancel several appearances in Ibiza and the arrival on the festival, the atmosphere was in the words of visitors – “unforgettable “.
With more than 40 DJ gigs it is difficult to sort out which party was the best. Main Stage located at Papaya hosted the greats Ricardo Villalobos, Loco Dice’s, Chris Liebing, Seth Troxler, Nick Curly, DJ Sneak and others. Smaller stage in Papaya was the site of the daily party with the swimming pool and beautiful weather wherein the crowd danced on Pan-Pot, Cassy and Davide Squillace music . The club Kalypso was smaller, more intimate stage where Matthias Tanzmann, Petar Dundov, Valentino Kanzyani, Mathias Kaden and many others played , and not to forget Tini who delighted the audience at the after parties. During the festival, there were as many as 6 boat parties with various artists where visitors could enjoy a beautiful combination of sea, sunset and a great music.
The festival ended with after parties in the Kalypso club despite the tough rain that fell that morning and forced the organizers to hold umbrellas over the DJ stands. Bad weather didn’t stop Sonja Moonear, Zip and Binh who according to the visitors: “.. maybe played their best set ever”.
