The 17th edition of the largest regional Science Festival will be held from December 12 to 14, 2024, at the Belgrade Fair, in halls 3 and 3a. This year’s festival centers around the theme “The Evolution of Ideas,” a concept that highlights the continuous process of transformation and development of scientific thoughts and theories over time.
Science is a discipline that is constantly evolving. New scientific fields emerge while others fade, and scientific theories are developed and modified. At the 17th Science Festival, we will explore how these changes occur, what they reveal about the dynamic nature of science, and what they mean for all of us.
Participants in the Science Festival can include faculties, institutions, associations, and individuals from Serbia and abroad, as well as companies whose work and presentation align with this year’s festival theme – “The Evolution of Ideas.” Various program formats are welcome, including workshops, interactive presentations, exhibitions, stage performances, children’s programs, or engaging lectures.

Applications are submitted by filling out the application form available on the website. Program submissions for the 17th Science Festival must be sent no later than September 20, 2024.
By participating in the Science Festival, participants receive well-deserved media attention and a large audience to whom they can present the valuable and enjoyable aspects of engaging in science and scientific work. In this way, the Science Festival draws attention to the importance of science and scientific thinking, inspiring young people to think in this direction.
The Science Festival is the largest science promotion event in our region, held 16 times so far. The most recent festival, organized in May 2023, attracted over 25,000 visitors in three days.
The audience of the Science Festival mainly consists of elementary and high school students from all over Serbia and the region. Additionally, the Science Festival is an ideal opportunity to get acquainted with the work of numerous institutions and companies and to establish useful contacts for collaboration.
