Belgrade comes alive in the summer with its vibrant energy, offering a blend of urban excitement and natural retreats. The city’s summer gardens and rafts on the Danube and Sava rivers are perfect for beating the heat and escaping the concrete jungle. These lush green oases not only provide a refreshing break but also help combat urban heat islands, making the city more enjoyable during the hot months. Whether you’re looking to chill by the water, enjoy a cool drink, or soak in some culture, Belgrade’s summer spots have something for everyone.

Daska & Veslo
Nestled along the tranquil Danube River, Daska & Veslo beckons with its cozy beach bar ambiance. Immerse yourself in the serene setting as you sip on refreshing drinks and savor delectable light bites. For the adventurous, Daska & Veslo offers board rentals for stand-up paddling, inviting you to embark on a memorable paddleboarding experience along the waters of Belgrade.

Kucica
A sensation on the Sava River, Kucica (Eng. Little House) is an effortlessly cool and cozy raft that transitions from a daytime bar to an electrifying club as night falls. Indulge in an array of wines, cocktails, and beers, show off your dance moves on the vibrant dance floor, or simply relax in your booth with a glass of champagne. With a crowd mostly over 30, the dress code exudes casual yet smart vibes.

Kolarac Cinema
We can’t forget to mention the Summer Cinema at Kolarac, another intriguing venue for movie enthusiasts in Belgrade. Although it has a limited number of seats, the effort to secure a spot will be rewarded with a memorable cinematic experience. Kolarac Cinema showcases new popular European movies, providing an opportunity to discover and appreciate the latest works from the continent’s talented filmmakers.

Rocket Coffee Shop
A new coffee shop in the former creative district of Savamala, Rocket Coffee is right next to the famous mural Searching for the Sun in Karađorđeva Street, commissioned by Mikser many years ago. With its cozy yet minimalist design, this café offers a variety of non-alcoholic drinks like kvass and kombucha, along with cinnamon cookies. It’s quickly become one of our favorite coffee spots in the city.

KC Dorćol
Culture Center Dorćol, or KC Dorćol, is a hidden gem in Lower Dorćol. Surrounded by concrete skyscrapers, this space features interesting street art, a green park with a fountain, and a children’s playground. The center includes a bar, making it perfect for a coffee during the day. It also has a DJ stand and a separate room functioning as a gallery, hosting impressive exhibitions by local and international artists.

SILOSI
Head to Silosi, one of the city’s most vibrant open-air cultural hubs located along the Danube. Once a former industrial grain storage complex, Silosi has been transformed into a creative waterfront destination where industrial heritage meets contemporary urban culture.
During the summer months, visitors can enjoy relaxed daytime matinee events, DJ sessions, refreshing cocktails, and spectacular sunsets overlooking the river. The site is decorated with large-scale murals and street art, creating a unique atmosphere that blends creativity with the raw aesthetics of Belgrade’s industrial past. For those seeking a bit more action, Silosi also offers free climbing activities, making it a favorite gathering place for adventurers, artists, and music lovers alike.
