Uzakrota Balkan Travel Summit has brought together important speakers and guests from Turkey and the Balkan region. With the contribution of the Turkish Airlines Corporate Club and Tourist Office of Belgrade, the event was held on the 10th of March at the newly opened Mona Plaza Belgrade Hotel.

Guests of the Uzakrota Balkan Travel Summit were: Bulent Akarcalı a former Turkish minister of tourism, Serbian tourism deputy minister Renata Pindzo, Belgrade tourism office director Miodrag Popovic, Ambassador to Serbia Tanju Bilgiç, singer and TV star Ivana Sert.

The event, hosting around 300 participants, showcased a variety of travel-related topics including charter cost estimates, marketing trends, and technological advancements in tourism.

Former Turkish minister of Tourism Bülent Akarcalı spoke about the fact that Uzakrota has made and continues to contribute more than 1 billion dollars to the tourism sector with 10 events organized in the past few years. Serbian Tourism Minister Deputy Renata Pindzo said that such an important event is very valuable in Serbia, given the fact that Serbia has a desire to become a tourism center by adding more value to summits and conferences shortly.

Speaking at the opening of the summit, Tourist Organization of Belgrade (TOB) director Miodrag Popovic concluded that “crisis management” was carried out in all Balkan countries due to the epidemic.

Uzakrota Travel Summit, which was at first organized only in Turkey, plans to be included in the top 10 tourism events in the world in recent years. Organized with the support of TOB and Turkish Airlines Corporate Club, this Balkan Travel Summit brought together travel agencies, airlines, hotels, bloggers, and companies that offer logistics services to the tourism industry.
